Instructional Technology and Professional Learning Coordinator
Job Description
Purpose Statement: The job of the Instructional Technology and Professional Learning Coordinator was established for the purpose(s) of improving student performance by interfacing with teachers to facilitate the integration of technology into teaching and learning, by developing and conducting professional development sessions in the core areas of teaching and learning; providing input and recommendations regarding software purchases and both site and district technology plans
This job reports to the superintendent’s designee. Job qualification requirements:
- Current Kentucky teacher certification
- Three years successful teaching experience
- Three years using technology as integral part of instruction
- Successful implementation of professional development in variety of settings
- Understanding of ISTE technology standards (teacher and student)
- Applicants must provide portfolio demonstrating professional learning work with integrated technology practices
Job Responsibilities
- Lead district-wide projects that support data-driven instruction and assessment, sustainable and instructional technology, and positive school culture in all schools
- Advise and assist teachers in integrating technology in the curriculum.
- Plan with teachers for implementing high quality teaching and learning and to meet teacher and student technology standards through technology integration into high quality teaching practices..
- Evaluate and recommend instructional and administrative software, websites and other technological resources
- Conduct and/or coordinate professional development for district and school staff.
- Model effective teaching practices with technology. Provide individual, small group and large group assistance in using technology.
- Support the use of technology in classrooms across school and district networks.
- Collaborate with school personnel, district personnel and School Technology Coordinators to solve instructional and technical problems for schools.
- Attend district, regional, and state meetings for professional growth and for the purpose of assisting in training district personnel.
- Provide professional development that will encourage staff to examine instructional practices and on-going student progress.
- Train teachers to use technology/assessment as a tool for teaching and learning.
- Serve as a member of or resource to school and district technology committees.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the district technology plan.
- Lead the school Digital Learning Coaches
- Maintain required records.
- Maintains regular attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
